Engagement details making this Orange County proposal spectacular

Traditional means different things to different people and different cultures. Most common for Orange County California is the man down on one knee, taking the bride to be, by the hand and asking her to marry him as he opens the ring box! For this lovely engagement the tradition I witnessed below is a bit different but still the same in many ways as love was still the reason they got together. I met a family that respects the age old traditions of their heritage while embracing the modern twists of real chemistry and love.

The couple met online through friends and grew together despite great distance between them. Once “they knew” then this ceremony where the bride to be, her father hosts the Grooms family for a meeting where the father of the groom,  asks for the fathers of the brides blessing to join these two in marriage. Once the proposal was well received the groom and the grooms father drink juice and deserts with the father of the bride and her family. The groom then gatherers his new fiancé and the newly engaged couple began to celebrate and get to know each others family along with some traditional time in the same room but apart from the group to get to know each other better.  It did look a bit strange at first as the couple sat to the side and “got to know each other” but this was actually very cute and after seeing it run its full course ultimately bringing the couple some intimate time together in a proper old school way. After this time expired the whole family joined together at the main table and all had a wonderful meal together.
